Baptism Service

Posted by on April 29, 2008

As I was on my way to the airport to fly back to Okinawa I was thinking, “I wish I could be staying in the states a little longer and fly back with my family.”

The morning after I got back we had a youth service and the students led us in worship and I preached. After that we had a Baptism service in the East China sea. While it was still a bummer to come back early as I was sitting on the beach at the Baptism Service and hanging out with friends I thought, “It’s great to be here and to continue to see God’s hand at work in students lives.

Major Mark Merrill teaching breakfast club. Breakfast Club used to be one of my favorite times of the week. When we left in 2006 Mark starting teaching and has been doing a great job ever since. In fact, most Wednesday morning I sleep past the 5:30 am hour that I need to wake up to get there by 6:15. It’s neat to see 25+ students gather every week so early in the morning to learn more about how to apply God’s word to their lives.
