Clearly the VW Bus is a better Deputation Vehicle.  The biggest surprise for us was that the seats in the Bus are much more comfortable especially after an hour or two on the road.  Our VW fuel gauge is working since we took it to the garage to give it a tune up.   We would have taken the bus on "The Trip" but I don't think it has another 3000 miles in it.  And on top of that it is getting to be winter and there is no heat in the Bus.  It isn't near the adventure cruising around in our Honda though, that is for sure.  It is nice to be able to move along with the flow of traffic though.
