Life in Oki

These are our partners, Todd & Karla.  I always tease them that they are old since they were in youth ministry way back when I was in High School.  Karla was friends with my youth leader, Stephanie Thrall, when I was in High School in Germany.  On the right is the room that we are meeting in right now for youth group.  We are cramming about 150 kids in their every Sunday and it is getting close to being full.  This summer we are moving into a building that is a little larger and has chairs.  Yeah!

Sunday nights we hold large group meetings and do things like play Squatters Squash and eat refried beans from diapers.  I think that has been the favorite game since we have been here.  On the right is a picture of the snack time that we have before our Bible Study on Wednesday's.  We were planning on having small group Bible Study's but too many kids started coming to Bible Study, so we are going to train some leaders to help us lead some of the Bible Studies.

Jerod performing a kick flip for us.  Jen in the office.  It actually looks a lot neater than it is in reality.  We have 4 people working in an office that is made for one person.  Hopefully in the next month or so we will get some larger office space.  It is neat how we all work well together though and have a lot of fun while we are doing it.  Sometimes we have so much fun laughing that Karla has to put her finger on her belly button, because she's at that pregnant stage where her belly button hasn't fully popped out yet, but it does when she laughs really hard.  As a symbol of unity, the rest of us hold our belly button when we laugh too!

Below with Jen are siblings Michele and Matt.  Matt accepted Christ last fall and shows up early every Sunday and helps us set up for the evening.
